General information:
1. Follow the General Submission guidelines. 2. Poetry Imprint material can be for any ages but must meet the general content requirements of 4RV. 3. Material should be poetic in wording and appearance, but it does not have to rhyme. 4. ALL manuscripts under contract are rigorously edited. Imprint specific information: 1. Poetry books should have at least 20 poems (one per page) that follow a general theme. Full manuscript should be submitted. 2. All poems must be of high quality. If one or more is not the same standard as the rest, additional poems may be included so that those not accepted can be deleted and 20 or more remain. 3. If the manuscript is accepted, the poet will be offered a contract. If the contract is accepted, the poet should send a short bio, a high resolution (300 dpi/ppi) headshot, and any dedication or acknowledgements needed. Also needed would be a marketing plan. 4. Collections of less than 80 pages will be in chapbook format. 5. Once the book is released, the poet is expected to help promote, sell, and buy copies of her/his book. |
