Amy Alessio

     Amy Alessio is a librarian for teens who has enjoyed teen input for over fifteen years. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Young Adult Library Services Association and was awarded the Davis Cup from the Illinois Library Association for outstanding services to youth, among other honors.
     She reviews adult and teen fiction for several publications including Booklist,, and Crimespree Magazine. She shares her passion for vintage cookbooks and crafts through her blog and at interactive workshops. Her young adult mystery

Nancy Allen

     Nancy Kelly Allen’s route to award-winning writing has more twists and turns than a winding mountain road. She grew up in Kentucky where storytelling is a way of life. After working as a social worker and elementary school teacher, Nancy changed career paths and became a school librarian. The route led her straight to the world of picture books.
     Nancy has a master’s degree in Education from Morehead State University and a master’s in Library and Information Science from the University of Kentucky. She lives in Kentucky in the log cabin in which she grew up. Nancy shares her cabin with her husband Larry and two canine writer assistants, Jazi and Roxi.
