Katie Hines is married to Bill, her husband of 27 years, and has two adult children, Rachel and Ruth; and two grandsons, who leave her exhausted every time they visit. She has been writing off and on all her life. Several of the poems she wrote while in high school were published in an anthology.
While college, marriage and the advent of children sidelined her writing for awhile, she returned to it in her 40s. She has since been a columnist for a local newspaper, writing op-ed pieces for the same; a features writer for another; and has been a regular contributor to a Catholic online ezine. She has penned a memoir and is the author of Guardian, a middle grade urban fantasy, which was published by 4RVPublishing. She is currently working on several other books, and is an editor with a Canadian publishing house.
