Jean James

 
       Jean James coauthored the newly released, 4RV novel Sparrow Alone on the Housetop, and has had many articles and stories published in periodicals.

     Before becoming a full-time writer, Jean collected live mammals and reptiles for US and foreign distribution, collected live venomous snakes for anti-venom production, and was involved in sundry, wilderness construction projects. She also worked as a press agent, a song writer, and was the captain of a small, leaky cabin cruiser.


     Jean is the mother of six children. Her youngest girl, Mary James, is Jean’s coauthor on Sparrow Alone on the Housetop and presently works with her on a music-themed novel trilogy. When not writing, Jean runs camera for Mary’s TV show and often tours with her in that capacity.

Mary James

      Mary James, who coauthored the 4RV novel, Sparrow Alone on the Housetop, started life as a musical prodigy. She could read music before she could read words and co-wrote original songs at age five. By age seven she was proficient on the guitar, banjo, and violin, and entertained audiences across the US with her vocal and instrumental skills.

     Her life has been one long road show interspersed with TV, radio, and film work.  She is also and the fun-loving host of Nashville TV show, Mean Mary’s Never Ending Street.
  In addition to her recently released novel at 4RV Publishing, she is the composer/author of a banjo/guitar tablature book and DVD titled The Sparrow and the Hawk.
