Mike McNair
 
      Retired after thirty-nine years in education as an English teacher and high school counselor, author Mike McNair now spends most of his time writing. Since May 2005 he has penned a biweekly humor column for online newspaper Midwest News (www.mwnews.net).

     He has written over a hundred editions of the Hooticat Newsletter, a tongue-in-cheek e-publication that he sends out to relatives.

      His 4RV Publishing books include a coming-of-age novel set in 1954 southern
Indiana, A Distant Summer, and a children’s picture book, Sammy the Shivering Snowblower. Tales from Mike’s World, an anthology of sixty-six mostly humorous stories, is scheduled for a May/June 2013 release.

      Mr. McNair has two adult children and lives in Richland Center, Wisconsin, with his wife, Nancy.
